What's your favourite children book?

I don't have children, so I have to think back to my childhood. I used to love Enid Blyton's "Famous Five". And I also loved "Pippi Longstocking", even though I don't remember the book of this, but only the films. It was just so outrageously funny because she was such a good kid who did so many naughty things.

I kind of skipped children's books but I did read the Boxcar Children series and the Babysitters' Club series. I was supposedly reading at an 8th grade level in the 1st grade....I don't know how they figure that out but that's what they told me. So my mom would almost get annoyed with me when I checked out kids' books from the library, books like Where the Wild Things Are or Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day or If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. I'd check out like ten of them (the same ones over and over) and then have to go back in two days because the library was only open every other day otherwise we'd have taken those ten back the next day and done it all over again
