No, I was very lucky. I never had to have braces. Neither did my children. I had a good friend that had braces in high school. It was rough on her.

I had braces as a teenager and even though I hated it at the time I am glad I went through it. I also had a retainer to expand my uppper jaw and even out my bite. It was worth the embarassment to have a beautiful smile today.
