How do you handle annoying sales people?

Ignorance is bliss. I'd say more, but that's really all there is to it, for me.

I usually just give the phone to my 2 year old, and he'll talk to them.. I love it, it always makes me laugh, and I can hear them on the other end saying "is your mom or dad there?" and he'll say "yes! and then say I love you pappa, bye bye!" It's very cute and Hopefully it brightens thier day and I don't have to talk to them.

I kindly and firmly tell them I am not interested and I hope they have a great day. Then I hang up the phone without giving them a chance to annoy me.

if they are bothering you at home, as soon as you are at the door, keep on shaking your head and said 'no no no, i dont want to buy anything', or you might want to put up a sign that says 'NO Sales people!'

Its a good thing what you've done,to be nice to people, for me thats not annoying that persistence. When a salesman approached me to present a product I first listened and if i dont need the product i told him, i have to think it over first.
