If I have a fever, and its high I would usually dress warm and try to go to sleep. And if I do fall asleep, I would wake up sweating. This is how my fever breaks. Then I drink lots of water. Usually, I'm fine after this. I refrain from taking medicines, I let my body cure itself. Hi crystallight1l! I hope you get better.

My mother was recently sick and was in the care of many nurses and doctors. When she would get a fever they always gave her Tylenol to bring her temperature down. I guess that's probably the best medicine to take for a fever. As for non-medicine cures, how about taking a cold bath.

A cold bath raises the temperature of the body, not a optimal choice to bring the body temperature down.

hello crystallight1l, what we do and as per our doctor's advice is to have a warm bath especially when you are so hot. you can do it everytime your temperature is high. this way, it will help lower your temperature at once. plus ofcourse take some medicine. rest and proper diet and a lot of fluid intake is highly recommended.

Hi, crystallight1l. You could try taking some Theraflu for an fever. It always works for me. The Theraflu will make you drowsy too, but it works fast and effectively. Try this. I hope that you will be feeling very well soon.

They say the best thing to do is sweat it out as in keep really warm and sweat it out that way it passes easier, but ensure you drink plenty as you will end up dehydrating.

Hi Crystallight1l, I'm sorry to hear you have a fever. If I get a fever I'll usually take some Tylenol get plenty of rest and drink lots of liquids as not to dehydrate. I hope you feel better soon!

When I have fever, I always drink lots and lots of water. Also, I try to cover myself in blanket, so that I sweat a lot. I don't know why, but since I was young, my mum taught me to do so. I don't know if there's any scientific proof for it, but after sweating a lot, I always feel better. Of course, I do take more rest when I have fever too. Also, not to take any hot and spicy food, and also fried stuffs. Hope you'll get well soon. ^_^

I would suggest getting some rest. You can also take motrin or something along those lines to bring your fever down. Don't forget lots of liquids too! Water is best. Hope you feel better soon.

all u need to do is rest. rest works best if u take medicine too and drink lots of fluid. sometimes, when my temperature rises so high, i place ice bag on my forehead. a wet face towel may work as substitute, too. i sometimes request my daughter to administer a good body massage for me. it really puts me to sleep and relaxes my muscles.

Drink a lot of water, rest and Vitamin C. Virus that cause fever is so tiny that medicine is useless against it. It's only your immune system thats capable of fighting it. Cheers!

in my opinion fever is cause of hard workers so they don't have time to rest, you should go to doctor, because now day lots of new virus like bird flu or swine flu, hurry check up to doctor =)
