I have maltese puppies so I don't need to choose if big or not coz my puppies are small. They are so cute and if I feel so stressful, I will just play with them. My puppies name is Jaja and Lucky. Happy mylotting.

TK and Ka'vik - The best 2 dogs in the world!
collie/shepherd mix -T.K.
Lab/Malamute mix - Ka'vik
Big dogs, definitely! All my life I have always wanted big dogs. I never had any Until I moved out of my mother's house. Then the first chance I could I went to the pound. I found my baby and first love Ka'vik- he was a Malamute/Lab Mix - very smart, quiet- we lived in an apartment and he was fine. But he was lonely and like to Chew up everything. When he was 1 1/2 yrs we got HIM a puppy. Her name was T.K. and she was his girl. I loved her too. She was a German Shepherd/Collie mix. She was the sweetest dog and everyone she ever met loved her- they were always scared of Ka'vik- I don't know why he was a good boy but maybe the color black scared them. After T.K. I remembered how much I loved the Collies _ I saw Lassie and read books about them was I was little so... I finally got not 1 but 2- they are a great dog- gentle but very smart. ( I have the dogs that are in my Avatar pic now - except the Black one - She is in heaven) and here is a pic of my first 2 dogs that I will always love and miss.. These 2 used to go with me EVERYWHERE I went- we were almost never apart. I love having the big dogs.. there is just so much MORE of them to love!

hmmmm....I think both. While a big dog is so much scarier, the little dogs are crazy and a lot more vicious.

I prefer big dogs.I love big dogs like st. bernard,OES,and great dane.I don't like small dogs.I don't feel safe and protected around them.I have nothing against small dogs.they're cute, but they're not for me.

My b.f. and I are planning on buying a dog, and we want a medium sized one. Like a small Lab or German Shepherd. I like bigger dogs more than smaller dogs, generally speaking, because you can run around and play rough with them without worrying that you'll hurt them. They're also more intimidating so you feel safer.

We've always preferred big dogs. With the tiny ones like chihuahas, we'd be afraid of breaking it! I've had a Rottweiler mix, and also a Pit mix. (Their mother tended to make her way around...) They were raised like ordinary dogs, not guard, so they were wonderful around kids. Biggest babies the vet had ever seen, personality wise. Even when they were over a 100 pounds. That being said, I have never bonded with a dog like I bonded with our newest. He's a year old now, and was sort of a leftover choice. My daughter chose a gorgeous puppy a year ago. My hubs wanted him to have a playmate, so we got his only brother a week later. Those two hated each other and still fight every chance. This leftover dog was supposed to be my hubby's. But we fell in love almost from the first and he's been mine ever since. These two dogs are only knee high, almost lap dogs. My leftover dog is more protective of me than any of the big dogs have ever been. He's not yappy. I can't even coax him to bark. He does grumble a lot, especially when he's telling me what to do. So while I can honestly say I prefer big dogs, in reality this little dog is the only one who ever grabbed my heart. It can be funny how life throws you twists.

I love Golden Retrievers and Labradors. I don't like small dogs (I think I don't like their barking style) and I'm pretty afraid of the really big ones who's jobs are to protect. I had a Rottweiler and I think they're a little bit too violent for my taste. One of my friends recently got a beautiful Golden Retriever and she's a very smart one. She takes care of her masters like no one else, but without the violent part. And a few years ago, her mother rescued a 3 year-old kid from the pool. I found out that many golden retrievers have this kind of approach to their masters, and I think it's the perfect dog for a young family with kids. :)

Hi Bhanuitengr, I have a huge dog that acts like a puppy. I rescued him from animal control. He is the sweetest dog ever I chose him for only one reason to love him. I supose if someone broke into my home and he protected me it would be a plus. However, I really dont' think he would he's a big baby.

I much prefer the bigger dogs. Not the huge ones like St. Bernards or Newfoundlands, but ones like Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Dobermans, and the like. I have a degree in Veterinary Technology, and I'm not working in a clinic at the moment, but I have worked in them, and the smaller dogs are actually more apt to bite than the bigger ones. The only time I've ever been bitten by a dog, it was a little one. It was a Lhasa Apso. If you ask a nurse or two, they'll tell you that most of the dog bites that come in to the emergency room are from smaller dogs.

I prefer big ones, but it has nothing to do with guarding my house or anything like that. I just love them cause they're big. It's hard to explain, but... Well, I actually love dogs that are closer to wolves. I have a small one though, but I live with my grandparents so it's not my choice. And I still love dogs even when they're small.

I would prefer a small dog. I think that they might be easier to take care of.

I personally like big dogs even I have napoleon mastiff dog. I personally think big dogs is much more better then small dogs. Small dog is vary delicate on the other hand big dog is stronger one.

I have two medium sized dogs and wouldnt want a dog smaller than what they are but would definately have gone bigger LOL...I'm not fond of little lap dogs..they're generally far too yappy and hyper for my liking..
