Socks

now, I can't be the only person that has this trouble, but I seem to be death to socks! I go through them like you wouldn't believe! I buy good socks, but they never last! My toenails are always trimmed and not ragged, but the socks always fall apart on me (or I lose em) Anyone else have this problem with socks, or anything really!

Socks, as members of our clothing community, seem destined to live lives of soliture. For me it's not that I get holes in them, it's that there usually ends up being one of each. Some of these 'singles' I stuff with lavender and sew shut, using them if the dryer to give my cloths a nice scent. Others are kept for a while to see if the missing partner shows up, and then discarded. More times than I can count, after I've thrown out one, I find the other. One of these days I should get a bag to put them in before throwing them in the wash.... Womens socks, even expensive ones, aren't made very well. For a sock that it going to last (if I don't lose one) I usually buy mens. The don't shrink when washed and they wear like iron. A good mens store will have socks in almost as many colors as womens do.

I haven't tried the short ones. I usually get the trouser socks...they're almost like knee socks, except that they stay up.

hi 3 cardmonte My problem is not wearing them out so much as them disappearing from the wash after the clothes are dried. So I have come to the conclusion that there is a hidden planet called Sock haven, and from there sock aliens come to our earth here to steal socks to take back to the Sock Haven. So all we have to do is just catch one of the aliens. he he ha ha.
