Do you use re-usable shopping bags? Personally I try to as often as possible. But on the occations when I forget to bring them with me, I reuse the ones that I get from the store. I think it is very important for us to do as much as we can to help our environment. After all, we are living on earth, it only makes sense to take care of it in return.

Yes, I do use them. The most frustrating part though, is that I usually forget to put them back in the car for the next time I go shopping and then I have to pack loose groceries in the back and/or buy a new bag. I find the best thing for me to do is that once I empty the bags, I make a point of putting them BACK in the CAR!

I try to use them. My biggest problem is that I forget them! LOL! I guess the best idea is to put them back in the van after every shopping trip. A few of the stores I shop at it costs $$ to purchase the plastic bags so u would think I would def be smart enough to save in that way!!! I do try to get paper but some stores dont carry paper...I think we have one grocery store out of 5 that carry paperbags and I think it is absolutley terrible! If I get plastic I usually donate them to the library or take them to walmart to be recycled...but donating to the library...im sure the people using them are throwing them stright in the garbage. I will try to be better about putting the bags back into my van!!!! Thanks for the reminder?!!!!

It's a good discussion. I also prefer to use the re-usable bags. But Here in my country re-usable bags are very expensive and very few shopkeeper keeps them. So its difficult to get them. Sometime I argue with the shopkeeper to use the re-usable bags but they are also helpless as people prefer cheap bags. It's really shameful that we are not sensitive towards our own environment.
