Have you ever created your own interest area ?

For those who don’t know how to ,you can simply click on the interest button which will display groups of interest areas like music groups .movies I recommend watching etc…next you click on the red add button and then type in your particular interest area
Now I went to all of that because I think that this is a valuable addition ,congratulation to mylot for adding it because there are just time when there are really no interest area that exists that matches the discussion you want to write .Ironically I have never created an interest are because I am always too lazy so when that happens I just normally put it in on of the utilitarian areas like questions and answers or life or discussion on day to day issues lol
Anyway have you ever created your own interest area .If the answer is yes tell us what is that area called .And for those who haven’t and would like to tell us what would you name your area

I created a topic called "Progressive Supranuclear Palsy" just about a year ago when my Mom was so sick & the doctor had finally given us a diagnosis. I like being able to add topics, but a lot of people don't know or are too lazy to look & they start up their own topic even though there is one sitting there just waiting to be used. I think there are 4 or 5 myLot topics floating around out there. There are 2 life topics out there too. There are several others that have been duplicated several times. So PLEASE LOOK BEFORE STARTING ANOTHER ONE!!!

Good answer . A topic like the one you created is unique and would never fit anywhere else like that area .Like I said I am one of the lazy ones but that is with regard to creating a new interest area and consequently I have never duplicated an area but it is always best to check before creating a new one

I felt safe creating mine as it was a "rare" disease very few people have ever heard of & I thought I would be using it a lot as the doctor had said Mom would probably live 2 years. Unfortunately she only lived 2 months, so I didn't post there much. It is a disease that I do frequent research on so I may use that topic again in the future!!!

I haven’t created a new interest as yet and it is great to know that we can do that but I am like you, I don’t bother when I am starting a discussion and choose the more general interests. I have thought about starting one; I considered calling it “Paula’s café “ or something like that where I could invite my friends to have a coffee and chat about anything but there is another MyLotter that has set up a similar thing so I gave up on my idea. I would love to start something where I can write about my day to day life and express my feelings and have others respond.

I already created an interest areas under place I live for and the names of schools I attended to in university since their is still no category profile in those interest. I also add an image and have yet to make a discussion out of it.

I have never created my own interest area, but a dear friend of mine created an interest area for me. I thought it was an extremely sweet thing for her to do, and it really made me feel good when I saw it. My interest area was my user name, and she even started several discussions in this interest.

just about a month ago, i thought of sharing thoughts, ideas of i really not interest to. something like an ODD thing about something interesting to discussion. but actually, you are not interested to it. just like an accident on the road, you happen to witness it and of course, you won't like to happen it to you. or something happened that your hate it happened to you. so i created an interest which i called, "not interested at all".
if i feel bored of something, i hate something, irritated, all negative feelings, everything odd, i put my discussions under that interest.
after a month, we already have 87 members and i wish more members to join us there and post their negative thoughts, etc.
