Me and my sister are the breadwinner . We provide needs of the family we work as partner. My parents stop working and staying in the house to take care of us. All members of the family are doing its share for the family. It is hard to be a bread winner because you work hard for the family's needs. You have so many problems to face, but if you really love what you are doing, it is not that hard to imagine.

My husband loves the job that he has got and even though at times he is stressed out, he still gets over the stress of it and carries on.
We hope that he will stay in this job and that he will never be made redundant, but with how things are all around, you never know what is going to happen to your job that you have.

lol, it would be a lot stressful if I was to live a lone, as expenses would be a lot less than what they are at the moment.
Lets hope that there are less people who lose their jobs in the new year, as there are not many jobs around at the moment for people to go to.

My husband was always the bread winner, I was the one that stayed home and took care of everything else. like cooking cleaning, taking care of the kids, making sure all the bills were paid. doing all the shopping, and making sure that everything ran smoothly.

My husband is the one in our family who makes the money for us to spend. When our second child was born three years ago, we decided between the two of us that I would stay at home with him until it was time for him to go to school. This decision was born out of the fact that when he was first born my daughter wasn't in school yet and it would have cost me as much to send both children to daycare as I would have made working outside the home. Also, we had a very bad experience with our oldest in daycare and we didn't want to run the risk of having that happen with our son.

hi jugsjugs we were both the breadwinners in our house until I retired and my son was then the only breadwinner, now because he lost his job, there is no bread and two of us are losers.sad but true, evicted I ended up here at G old Crest retirement center and my son in gov.sponsored apt. with three other guys all out of work and job hunting. this bad economy in Ca is breaking up homes and families jobless list now at above 11 percent and climbing when will this end.

My husband brings home most of the bacon right now as I am waiting for a job to go through sitting with a relative. It's taking forever and though I want to sit with said relative to help, I may end up just looking for another job, though I know my family doesn't want me to.

Like you, It's my husband who work for our living and paying bills.
But i am looking for a job at the momment coz it's difficult sometimes to rely on him, I wanted to have my own earnings so i can buy what i want and can help my family and help him too to pay the other bills.
Happy myloting.

For 32 years I was the breadwinner. Raising my two girls and working full time. Now not having a job for over a year its frightening when you are use to making money and feeling fullfilled. I hope to sale my house by next year so I can move to be with my boyfriend in Puerto Rico. Its scary when you don't have a steady income coming in monthly especially after you have been use to it for some many years.

Hi Jugs!
Well! Same here! My boyfriend is the bread winner! I take care of our two year old child! It feels good at times staying home watching our child grow but at the same time, I miss making good money!

During the time of this discussion my husband was the bread winner. I was a stay at home mom. However, things change. Now I'm going to be the bread winner while my husband stays home.
Happy mylotting!

My husband is the bread winner here, as I am unable to work, so he has to make sure that we have enough money to live on.
With how things are every where we are in hope that he will not be out of work from the job that he has, as there are not many jobs about if he was to lose the job that he is in.

Yep, my husband is the bread winner!! We decided that it'd be best for me to be a full time mom at home for the sake of the kid(s) - I've always wanted that because my mother did that for us. But, when the kids are in school full time, I'll go back into the working force!
