I'm really getting on the kids to wash their hands more than before. As soon as they walk in the door I make them wash their hands, afterall they do spend much of their day in the giant germ factory called school!
I"m trying to remember even more so! I also am using lysol daily on some of the surfaces like door knobs, keyboards ect.
How about my fellow mylotters? What precautions are you taking?

i've been staying away from other people, especially in large groups.
they just found out our schools are rife with H1N1,they'd better do something.

I'm eating properly and taking care of myself but I'm not a germophobic. I don't have hand sanitizer in my house and refuse to use it. I have good immunity because I live normally and expose myself to all the normal germs flying or floating around. I might get the flu but my immune system is strong so I doubt it'll be bad if I get it.
I can understand your precautions, though. Schools certainly are germ factories but I hope they are an opportunity to build immunity for your kids rather than a source of illness--stay well!

I'm not really taking any extra precautions, although I do often carry hand sanitizer in my purse, even if I don't use it much. Since I have a dog, I wash my hands quite often. Also, when I go to and from my apartment I climb a flight of stairs. I don't even want to know what is on the handrail. So I'm covered pretty well. But I remember school and how germy we kids were.

no i'm not washing my hands more i don't know why i would. The h1n1 doesn't scare me. my teacher told me almost everyone will get it. she also says that she had it and usually you feel terrible for a few days and you will recover. i don't know what to say to that really but i was my hands enough already. i'm a very clean person not to meantion a germophobe. i keep hand sanitizer in my purse it always comes in handy. So any more hand washing for me would just be too frequent and unreasonable. I don't like wasting water. i don't get sick very often.

I'm ALWAYS washing my hands now! The last thing I need is to get and/or pass on the H1N1 virus! If I touch anything from cash in my wallet to picking up the cat, I wash my hands before touching anything else. Maybe that's a little extreme but better safe than sorry!
