Please help! Some friends of mine are raising money and are in need of crafting ideas that can be done relatively quickly. Can anyone point me in the direction of some patterns and ideas for them. It's about a month away. Thanks in advance.

Lots of ideas at htt;://www.allfreecrafts.com/Christmas/ At Michaels or any craft place that has clear glass or plastic ornaments, you can put Christmas colored beads and tie a bow afterward or pant the inside and decorate the outside and put colorful ribbon on the outside. Michaels website has some quick ideas, too. At the dollar stores, they have lots of magnets that you peel the back off and stick onto something. You just have to decide what you want on the refrigerator magnets. I hope something helps.

Have you ever been to some of the decoupage and papier mache sites? Amazing.

Great minds think alike. One of the volunteers got some of the glass bulbs today! She's letting her artistic kids make some decoupage stuff!

What about putting together craft baskets? You could have theme baskets. You can get baskets at dollar stores or garage sales. Or even use gift bags or boxes. Jewelry making - asst beads, findings, eye pins, wire, round nose pliers, cutters, patterns, etc. Sewing - asst threads, needles, nice scissors, patterns, gift card for fabric store, etc. Crochet/Knit - asst yarn, asst sizes hooks/needles, patterns, books, etc. Or maybe kits for a project. You get the idea. It gives people options. Maybe a crafty person would like to try something new or doesn't have the time to get something together to give to someone else.

Craft baskets are an awesome idea. I've been doing them, too, with more recent events. It's really helpful, especially, if you're creating a gift with a variety of interests!

http://www.favecrafts.com has a lot of craft ideas of all kinds. It's one of my favorite places to go when I need inspiration. Although the topics they list may sound overwhelming, there are a lot of small and quick projects there.

YES. I do understand the "sounding overwhelming" part! And you are right about the inspiring part. I've jotted down a couple of notes of potential craft ideas! Thank you!

Excellent! Just realized I should have read ALL the comments I got today before responding. This would be excellent to also put in the mini stockings!

Miniture knitted stockings and put a few sweets in them.Table arrangements they always seem to go down well at a school bazaar. All you need is wool and sweets for the stockings and then wicker baskets a few tree decks as well as a candal to do the table decorations with.

EXcellent idea on the mini stocking. We have knitters and crocheters so I'll put the word out on that one. Maybe put a few on wreaths.... hmmmm..

fabric.com and thedollnet have free patterns for hand made dolls and doll pins. Some make up easy and fast from scrap material. Also if you go to Joanne's website they will also have some free patterns. Pillows can be made quickly also small quilted purses.

This is fabulous. I think this will also get more young people helping with things. Most of our yarnaholics are older and have been doing it for years. Our younger folks have a mind of their own on what will and won't work. I've passed this on to one and got a "YES, the girls will LOVE this" from a TEENAGER!

Cut shapes of trees, socks and stars out of felt. Then decorate with glitter glue or sequins.
