There are lots of people overindulging in online activities. I highly recommend that they focus on their main responsibilities for the family, and for the study. Especially for the young, time is not waiting. Online chatting and gaming can be only spices, but not main meals.

I never sacrifice online time for the time with friends and family. But if it's work, then I might have to sacrifice my time with them. Human interaction is definitely not the same with online interaction, but it gives out the same kind or close enough of a comfort.
Because we are still dealing with feelings and stuff. It's not like there's a robot typing hello back to me, LOL... but I definitely agree that it is not to be replaced with human interaction, especially family time. Whenever my family suggests to eat dinner together outside, I will never resist. That's the best time to interact ever.

me, heheheh. Well, actually I am using internet to get away from people that I met all the time because I don't think I can stand talking about the same thing over and over again. so, i prefer to go online and find something beneficial than sitting and talking about something unbeneficial.

Now that sounds like me being online alot, but i only come on here as well as other sites and i rarely chat to people that i do not know.I love it on here as there are so many different kinds of people.I do spend time with my family as well as my friends,so i mix the two now.

i am online for most part of the day... but not interacting with other people but working instead...
I find it very convenient to work form home and i dont feel guilty being on the computer all the time coz I could still get to watch over the kids since i am still home..i can even do laundry at the same time.
this is much better than working somehwre else coz i could never coz it is harder to check on t he kids that way.
for people who spends so much time on the computer..chatting with others maybe... i dunno..i guess it helps them rid off their boredom and maybe improve their communication skills.

I used to be like that. I was always online and this was before I knew that you could make money online. Now though I spend adequate time with my family as well as being online. I don't know anyone who is like that now, but my husband also was an avid onliner...

I have become horribly hooked on the games on one of the popular sites and I seem to be spending more and more time there. I really need to break the habit.
