Is your place safe enough to leave your doors unlocked during the day?

I wonder if there is any place nowadays in the world this safe. Although I hear people saying that they are not really bothered leaving doors unlocked during the day but not at night time. What do you think?

in our place we cannot really leave our doors and windows open even during the day because if we do that, we will be leaving with nothing in our home. hehehe. the theives are very alert when it comes to that. they know whose house are open. And to this day, even if you have lock your own home, they can still find ways to open it. they are just so smart and professional when it comes to stealing. So in our subdivision, we try to be more alert than them. me and my neighbors are helping hand in hand to avoid being their target.

In this difficult times, one can not be too confident, thieves are lurking everywhere waiting for preys. It is not even safe to trust the househelps unless we really know them well. Some who are from employment agencies are difficult to trust right away. It pays to be extra vigilant. enjoy life karbuks!

We keep our doors locked most of the time. but i have always felt that if some one wants to get in they are going to even if the doors are locked.

Yes, locks are only our basic defense, if bad elements really want to break in they will always find a way. At least we have a primary defense. cheers!

we normally leave our house open day time with the dog incharge. the dog was been known to have bitten a lot but of course i spend a lot also sending people to the doctor. my dog is very funny, i dont put collar in her but she dont stray around like other dogs but she just sit in front of the gate, never teach her of anything. everytime she hears my car arriving she will go out of the gate and march in a perimeter like guarding me and when she sees people approach thats the only time she barks, she never bite people outside the gate, not a kid was hurt from her, but she bites people that intrudes inside our yard without knocking like a garbage man who simply pick the garbage can inside the yard, the delivery boy who pick empty bottle container of distilled water, the laundry woman who never knocks but proceeds to her work. What she does everyday is keep an eye to anyone that approach the house and walk with me everytime i get out of the gate until i tell her to go home and my kids love her so much, my two years old grandson hugs her everyday and she replied with a smuck of a kiss to the little child. At night she is always vigil to passers bye. At one time we left the house for three days and survived.

I believe everybody will have a dream, one day, we all don't pick up the lost things and we all don't need to lock your door for safe. but now for me, actually if i leave my home. I always remember to lock my door and I always think if I can find more safe way to lock my door...

In some areas, locks are not sufficient. Some home owners are installing alarm systems and cameras. One can not be too cautious, times are difficult. cheers!
