Hello Mylotters
,
Most Specially those in the Philippines..well, you know what happens during Christmas, more shopping, more active in the Church and probably, more Crooks. a lot of people are not too careful with their money, and they tend to loose it within the market because of tons of people hanging around buying stuff for gifts and decorations that are cheap.
I just watch the news last night that they were two incidents of Robbery. One, was a lot more aggressive because they went straight to one of the Jewelry shops here in Makati, one of the Metro Cities here. and then same day, i think, one of the Mansion that is owned by one of the Congressman was also robbed out of their jewelries. luckily no one was hurt at that time, but disappointing that the politicians house has guards every-where.
With the Latest Calamities hitting on the Ordinary people, expect something bad might happen to you as Christmas is coming near, these people are getting desperate. oh, yeah also watch out for Car-nappers since it's a lot demanding when it comes to vehicle repairs.
When you go outside, make sure you keep your money every where in your body. my personal recommendation is put it under your shoe..
Have a Great Day

Crime seems to be on the increase every where. I always lock the car doors when I am driving around these days because my hand bag is usually on the seat next to me and there have instances of thieves helping themselves to women’s bags when they stop at traffic lights or worse still they will jump in the car and highjack it. It’s scary stuff and I am hearing more and more cases of it, especially home break ins when the people are actually at home! There have been elderly people bashed for the sake of twenty bucks. Sad world...

it is very sad indeed. that's the disadvantage of those who doesn't know how to lock their doors because they tend to get kidnapped. if you don't often lock your car or house, some crooks might noticed it and take their chances stealing stuff from you. oh, my even the old people too? unsung heroes aren't enough, hope a superhero will rise to give an extra hand

hello LetranKnight25,
now a days it's hard to leave the house especially when all of the family will have a vacation and no one will stay. have no peace of mind, while doing so. now, that it's almost christmas and when my parents are coming from abroad for sure we will spend the holidays there. but i guess, this time we will make our vacation just for an overnight.
you are so right that robbers are more aggressive now. and we need to be extra careful everywhere we are. some maybe are just force in doing it to survive. but it should not me the case.

hello robert,
I agree with you, with some strange people walking around the neighborhood, there's no knowing of that persons agenda.robbers doesn't have the heart to show mercy, maybe it's better being bullied rather than being killed or tortured. we should always on the look out for people which i think would follow from some where.

hello thea, sorry i didn't know the word was un-familiar. it can be called car-stealers as well. it's like kidnapped but not people but vehicles like cars, that's why it was called car-napped. they would steal the car, broke it down and probably sell the parts cheap for those who prefer lesser price for car parts. it's a lot more demanding now because of the cars who were affected by the flood..

Hi Letran Knight: Unfortunetly this is a great problem not only in your country. Last month me and my little sister were robbed while we were waiting for the bus to arrive. My poor little sister, it was one day after her birthday, i was more worried abou how she feels and for her integrity than for me. This is really sad

Yes, undesirale elements are lurking in every corner waiting for their prey. People must be extra careful and it pays to be vigilant. Wallets, cellphones, jewelries and anything of value are at risk. This holiday season, crooks don't take holidays. It is one of their busiest time of the year.
cheers!

I agree, here in my place to, the robberies are frequent these days. In a day when our festival was near,i heard about two such incidents with my far relatives.
they were looted on the way home and the whole money, mobile and clothes with all other things was snatched from them.
the cases were serious but there was no role of the police any where.

hello coolcat, that's so horrible, i heard that they were looters too during the aftermath of the typhoon, people were looting to destroyed houses, but the neighbors were vigilant and thanks to them those crooks were arrested, i am sure they're plenty more coming when christmas is getting closer. so, be careful as well. @dawnald (85137)

It happens here too. Some years back a woman was killed by a robber in the parking lot of a mall near where I worked. With the economy as bad as it is, I suppose there will be more theft. Sad. There's enough to go around in this world if only we could work out how to do it.

oh, my that's too bad there dawnland, and it happened on a mall. yes, this economy that the world is experiencing is really as it's worst, but good thing the greedy ones are now being flushed out since some of them are after money and want more at the expense of those who are working hard.

hi buddy. that's true, bas guys are more aggressive these days. maybe that's caused by the crisis we are experiencing right now. these poor people tend to do bad things, not considering the lives of others. they will also kill if someone they rob will resist. but not only poor people do that, see what big time robbers do now, even crowded and secured places, they never hesitate to do their bad intentions. like what happened to rolex store in glorietta 5.

Yes robbers are more aggressive these days but sometimes the security guards should be blamed about this. We are no longer safe anymore so we need to be careful these days. Christmas is approaching that's why many robberies and hold-ups are happenings. The robberies going to increase this coming months because of the crisis and calamities that we experienced.

hello neilc and agv, i agree with you both. i think the reason why the poor is doing these is really due to desperation and hunger. but there are more people who aren't poor but do these things most specially to those who had been cops before. i feel to those former cops turned bad because they're using their training to robbed people of their hard-earned

Right more robberries happened as christmas time comes. Instead of doing good and enjoy a merry christmas, these crooks doing the reverse, they think of having a merry christmas by stealing and even killing just to have enough money to be spent.

hello bing, i don't what's up with them entirely, but i do know this, it's desparation. this is why the poor should be helped to prevent this from further escalating, they must be in dire need of needs, but surely they aren't qualified for jobs and other things.well, some even hold-up other people just to spent money on their birthdays, but they were captured.

We all know that when christmas season comes, the number of crimes on property increases. It goes the same during May or June, when school is about to start..
Specially right now that a lot of calamity has struck our country. Many people are almost desperate to get money so that they could buy food. It is sad that the only way they know how is to take it from other people.. The only thing we can do is be vigilant about our belongings specially in a crowded place.

hello joygarcia, well, am glad she didn't fight for it or she would have been killed. this reminds me of a girl who got comma because she fought back when tree guys try to steal her money in the taxy. am not sure if she's alive yet, though it was very painful for her mom.
