Before today,I always knew it as a fact that durians grows on the branches of tress. Not, anymore these days. I was shocked when I was shown photos that the now grow on trunks as well as at the photos of the trees. Imagine a clump of durian fruits at the foot and you just have to puck them when they are ripe.Look, some of the farmers have netted them to prevent theft. What a bonanza for these farmers! Have you see durians fruiting this way?

Wow! I love to eat durian. It's really amazing and the fact that it's very expensive in my region in the Philippines. Good thing if I'm from Mindanao, specifically in Davao City where this great and mysterious fruit thrives, I would have loved to eat as many as I can without considering the cost. My family also loves durian, especially my late father. My mother says, Papang loved to eat durian and would used to buy them in huge baskets. My husband and my youngest daughter don't like durian, but my eldest daughter does. I could still remember when I was pregnant, I bought two big ones from our fruit stand, my husband wasn't amused with the smell, but oh my, I really love it, lol. Have you tasted durian ice cream? it's tastes good, really.

Wow! I can plant this specie of durian at my home. When it is ripe I just pluck and open and enjoy! However, I'll tie Doberman around the trunk to keep thieves away. Ha, ha . What a feast for durians lovers.

It does look interesting. And most convenient for the farmers. First time, I've seen any tree bear any fruit that way. One can really learn and discover new things in mylot. I just love it :)
