i think all of the ISP's here in the Philippines has it's own glitches and problems, i don't think there's a best ISP around, it just all depends on your location or area. If your in the NCR, I still think the best option will be PLDT MyDSL, on our experiences here, including comments with friends, and relatives, PLDT DSL service is working fine, there are some problems but the support is not that bad, not immediately but definitely they will address issues you will report. We always check the speed via speedtest.net and mcafee online speedometer and It's accurate, i think it's worth a try.

i was really having second thought in buying a new ISP, but once i read your response, i think i am gonna go for pldt. But may i ask one more, so many people using pldt, will it not clogged/bottleneck the server,e.g. 100pldt users, 50 smart and 10 globe, that is why i went for globe,we are not that so many using globe dsl.

I think I have the same Globe broadband plan as you but I availed myself of the landline. If not for the landline (free unlimited NDD and local calls), I would have sticked with my 999 Smartbro. I really hate Globe because they do maintenance all the time. I think every month, i would have at least a day without internet just because of their maintenance. Smartbro wasn't as hard-to-deal-with. Since it's wireless, it's easier for them to reconnect me. Though it's hard to call smart's customer service, when I get a chance to forward them my concerns, they help right away. They even send people immediately and sometimes problem gets fixed on its own. Globe on the other hand has a 24/7 phone service but the people I talk with doesn't seem to know what to do. I think since Globe deals with cable lines, etc it's arder for them to fixed them than Smart which offers wireless connection. Given the chance, I'd really go back to Smart.

I purchased a Globe WiMax just this Monday (10/11/11), the signal is really good, full bars. But it is so strange is that I can't browse this particular website that I really need to through. I been complaining since the first time I experienced it, and still up until now there's no good thing happening. I am planning to change my ISP. Based the reviews I have read here, it seems there's really no good connection here in the Philippines. What do you think?

I am also disappointed with Globe Broadband too. Since Sept 26 I got disconnected with them and until today they have not restored the line the fact that there is no more flood in our area the next day. Our place is not really flood prone area but during the Ondoy flooding we were slightly affected too. My line was affected and till now they have not restored their services to us. I called their "call center" and they would always say there is an ongoing system enhancement going on in my area but I am not seeing any lineman in my area doing their "system enhancement". I am contemplating of disconnecting my line already because of these. I am currently scouting for an alternative like Smart Bro, PLDT MyDSL, or even Sun Broadband. But I am looking into feedbacks from current users how good the services are. With regards to the speed I also observe that too but I think I am happy with that speed already as I can browse freely but with this kind of service right now I am deeply disappointed.
