This time of the year presents a lot of different customs all over the world... What do you do in your hometown to celebrate or observe this day? Here in America, is it quite normal to see the little children running around begging for candy on the doorsteps of other observers. Some people decorate their yards with typical fashion of the day...spiders, webs, tombstones, skeletons...etc... What do you do on Halloween or All Hallows Eve? Do you even observe this day where you live?

We live in US too but we have different tradition with our children than most. Instead of spending alot on costumes we spend that money on a movie DVD that they would really like to watch. We stay home that evening have family time watching the movie, have small amount of treats and roast pumpkin seeds. The kids seem to enjoy this and they never really complain about not doing what their friends are.

Sounds good... Personally, knowing the history of Halloween, I hate the holiday, and shy away from "tradition", but yours sounds like a much more peaceful way to spend the night... Now if only I had my great dane to ward off those pesky visitors!

I take my daughter out trick or treating. I went trick or treating when I was a kid and so I now take my daughter. She has fun when we go out. I go with my frinds and their kids. I think its a good idea to go as a big group and it keeps the kids safe.

We don't do anything special. My husband and I don't have any children yet, and no one comes to trick or treat down our road... So usually we're just inside doing the typical things. As a child I wasn't a fan of trick or treating really, so I didn't do that every year.
