I have seen a lot about video games here on mylot, and on television, and it made me want to start a discussion about video game systems,I am a big video game player and I do not think I could survive without video games, and my favorite system would definitely be the X-box 360,partly because me and my wife have a Halo 3 Edition X-box 360,and because it has a good game selection such as the Halo games, and you can play original X-box games on it, and I also love the wireless controller and being able to turn the system on and off without hitting the power button, and one of the biggest things I like about the X-box 360 is that all games have achievements that you can try to get, which in my opinion they add a lot to the game play, and I like the fact that you can spend hours or days, trying to get one achievement so it keeps games from getting boring,I love playing games with my wife, and also my friend and I especially like war games like Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six,so here are my questions Which system is your favorite? Why is it your favorite?Do you like playing games with other people?or would you rather play them by yourself? What geenre of game do you like? And do you find one version of a game better than another version of the same game on a different system?I appreciate all responses I get,but I ask that everyone take this discussion seriously, and if you can not respond seriously then please do not respond,Happy Posting.

Hi Honey! I'll answer the questions you've posed. My faovrite video game system right now would have to be the wii you recently bought me for Christmas, I am really enjoying the game play and am really loving the wii fit. I think that it is my favorite for a few different reasons, one being that it's new. The other being that the games available for the wii are expansive and seem like a lot of fun with the games seeming to be more family oriented then anything. I do enjoy playing video games with other people. I love to play video games with you and I find that it can be more fun in that respect as if one of us get's stuck the other can help out, etc. I don't know that I would rather play video games by myself, I think it would have to depend on what the video game is, though if it's multi-player enabled as well I would probably say I'd like to check it out for myself first a little, before having you join in. You've done the same thing recently for Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter 2.I enjoy the RPG genre as I like the interaction taking place in story play. Though I do enjoy fighting games as well. The only game I can think of that I've played two different versions on is Mario Kart for the n64, and the one for the wii. I enjoy playing both versions equally though we haven't played Mario Kart for the wii very much. I have also played The Sims 2 on the Game Cube and on the PC, I like the PC version in that you can have two story homes, but The Sims 2 on the game cube because of the different houses and what is required for you to do in those houses. I love you very much.

That is cool that your favorite game system would be the Wii and I am glad that you are enjoying it,and I was happy to give it to you for Christmas,I know you like the gameplay and the Wii Fit which is good exercise, and yeah the Wii has a lot of different games and it has a lot of family oriented games, and I know what you mean if you get stuck someone else can help you out,and I am glad you like playing video games with me,I know you like the RPG genre, and they can be a lot of fun,and yeah both versions of Mario Kart are fun and the differences make them unique, and keep them from getting boring, and I know both versions of The Sims 2 are fun,and both have different things about them that make them great, thanks for responding,I love you with all of my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I would really like to Get Mario Kart for the wii as I think we would have a lot of fun playing it. Also, when we have children they can play the two different versions we have and decide which one they like. Before that though the kids your ma babysits will have something to play without getting bored whilst being here! I know the one was not highly impressed at first with our "ancient" version of mario kart! Ancient for him but definitely not for us who played those types of games when younger.

Yeah I agree I think we would have a lot of fun playing Mario Kart on the Wii,and when we have kids they could try both, and decide which one they like better, and which one they want to play, and when my mom brings the kids she babysits over here they will have something to do without being bored, and it might be ancient but it is still a lot of fun and it always will be,thanks for responding,I love you with all of my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting Baby.

I'm still very much a playstation girl. I do have an xbox now but don't like it especially as I read that they scimped on the disc drive so there is a chance it will scratch all my games. I don't like the controller as I feel it's really heavy compared to the PS3 one. As for games I couldn't live without Little Big Planet.

Reading the next post reminded me of something else that is better on the PS3, no need to change batteries in the controller. I don't know how long the ones in the Xbox will last and it would be typical of my luck for them to give out at a crucial part of a checkpoint save game.

The 360 my wife and I have came with a rechargeable battery pack.We do not honestly play it enough to need to worry about it,and the controller my wife uses had it's batteries in it for a long time, and even with it blinking needing batteries it juiced them for all their worth.

That is very cool that you are a PlayStation girl and those are some really good points when it comes between the systems, and I have never heard of Little Big Planet but it sounds like it would be a really interesting game, could you tell me some about it because I am always trying to find new games to try out, thanks for responding.

I love just about every gaming system out there, but the Xbox 360 I don't really like.I don't like the Xbox 360 because 3 of my friends systems broke, and including 2 of mine.My favorite has to be the PS3 now that the price went down to $299.I think Sony could make a lot of money if they bought the resell rights of Halo.I love the Ps3 mainly cause they hardly ever break.Nether mine or my friends PS3 have broken,so I think the Ps3 is worth the bang for the buck.

Any system has the chance of breaking, and I have never had any problem with my Halo 3 Edition X-box 360,Sony would not know what to do with Halo, and PlayStation3 might not break as much, but you can not play PlayStation 2 games on it,thanks for responding.

That is cool that you like the PC and I am sure a lot of people like PC games and that is cool that you are not playing the PlayStation 2,and it does have a lot of good games, even though I think the X-box 360 and the PlayStation 3 has even better games that have good graphics and a lot of good storyline and you might want to consider upgrading one day, thanks for responding.
