It's been about 15 years since I did it, but I vacationed in Alaska and drove from Anchorage to Fairbanks and back. (Plus I also made it down to Seward, which would have been better had it not been drizzingly.) It's a long but amazing drive. You can OD on scenery, if you live mountains and river valleys and such. I'd love to go back and maybe also drive to Valdez next time.

Hello burrito88 Your drive from Anchorage to Fairbanks and back, plus Seward sounds like it would be a grand adventure. I would enjoy something like this. I like to drive and see things like this. I am currently in the upper midwest of the USA, as opposed to the southeastern USA where I have lived much of my life. I have enjoyed a few drives across country and some excursions into Canada, but have not yet been to Alaska by car. I hope that you'll get to do it again. Peace I love the world!!
