Can the way a guy hugs you let you know how he feels about you?

Okay, so to make a long story short i've been talking to this guy quite a bit lately. We used to work together, and all of a sudden got closer and closer.(just randoming chit chat about nothing) And whenever he saw me after like the 2 or 3rd time he would start giving me light hugs. Well he quit and we still keep in contact. The other day we met up at the mall, and he gave me the usual light hug. And then we went to his house to watch a movie. Well after the movie I got up to leave and he walked me out. He told me how to drive back, and then told me to come here and gave me the tightest atleast 15-20 second longest hug i've gotten in awhile.(months since my ex) lol, it wasn't a bear hug, but it was pretty damn tight, and my head was layn like on his chest, and his arms were on my mid back/near waiste.
What do you guys think about this hug? And do you think guys hug all girls the same or what?

The way any guy hugs you,it surely show his closeness,love,care for you.
In this case I must say that you guy has started a liking towards you and he is showing it in his gestures.
You never know that one day he may propose you..I can be a surprise..

Oh my goodness propose? lol, I don't know about that. I don't even know if he really likes me,but I hope he does. And I agree that hugs def. bring a loving/caring feeling towards one another whether it's friendship or more. I'm just wondering about whether this hug was more than what it seems. thanks for replying. :)

Thankyou! I hope he likes me back, cause I really do like him. We also had some *stare* moments at his place. lol, and a little incident I did myself. His sister's cat kept jumping on us so when it finally got inbetween us again I leaned in a litter closer as he was stroking the cat's head and his fingers grazed across my arm. lmao, I just kinda looked down, and his fingers were like frozen there so I adjusted on the couch and he just kinda stared at the movie I guess and pretended like it didn't happen. haha. well I enjoyed it.

Guys don't hug all girls the same. If my boyfriend is out with his girl mates, he will hug them to say goodbye, but only a really quick hug, and his hands won't be anywhere near their waste. When he hugs me to say goodby though it's completely different, and he'll rest his hands on my waist, and let me put my head on his shoulder. But I know for sure that he likes me (obviously, seen as we're dating), so I guess it's easier for me to notice the differences between the way he treats me and the way he treats other girls.

I think so..because a guy will not hug any girl for no reason at all..I can also say that they hug of different reasons as well..based from experience...LOL!!!

Wow this is really a very nice discussion.... it seems he feels something for you by reading your other posts about staring and brushing your hand at his home, we girls will know by these gestures, words will come up at the end, these signals are the first indications to know how he feels about you... good luck

Yes. I think you can make out how your guy's love for you is. I have read somewhere that it is something like body language. Thuough, I am not sure as to in which category will the question asked by you will fall, but such a test is very much possible. It can give out the feelings in one. The way one hugs, the tightness of the hug and the length of the hug - well, I think, it can be told. This might be something like the one machine which catches your lie. If you speak false, then that machine catches you by the internal bodily changes. This can also be of the same type somewhat or the other.

I think we can detect a guys feeling towards his actions. Because as the saying goes, action speaks louder than words. So definitely, a persons' action speaks a thousands words.

There are some guys express lightly their emotions in several ways to girls to let girls feel the warmest feeling that they feel inside. There are some give hugs to feel you better which we can call it a friendly hug.But in your situation, I think there is something deep he feels bout you but let time tells you what it is. Just don't give in just because of that hug.

for me i am not use to hug even if i am close to the person it's hard to differentiate a guys hug because sometimes it's a call of nature, he just feel like hugging you and sometimes it's a way of showing that he misses you and sometimes he was just flirting you. it really depends on the next move...just be observant with the guy and if he likes it will show....in due time...not all guys do that..
