I used it once for a month the doctor prescribed it to me because of hormonal imbalance. I'm been bleeding for a month last March and my ultrasound is normal. She said that it is because of stress that's why I'm experiencing hormonal imbalance. I'm afraid to use it again for 3 months I stop using it because I'm still single and I gained weight so that's why I stop it.

I have never used birth control pills in my life. And since I never did, my husband and I decided to look for other ways to prevent conceiving. I used an intraurine device (IUD) which I had changed every 3 years. It was really easy since I don't have to remember taking pills and I did not have to deal with the side effects of taking them like vomiting, gaining/losing weight. Nowadays, you can also get something inserted in your arm (I forgot how it's called) and this gets you protected for 5 years. I think it controls/regulates your ovulation or something. I suggest you also look for other contraception methods. But, if pills suit you fine (no side effecst and guaranteed results), then I think you can continue using them for as long as you need.
