I put honey on my peanut butter sandwich, and it tastes great! This is the first time that I have ever done this. My mom gave me some honey and I decided to try some with my peanut butter. When I was in school, the cafeteria ladies use to put honey with the peanut butter. I don't know if it was for the nutrition, or if they just wanted something to do with the honey. LOL What about you? Have you ever tried this? What do you usually put with your peanut butter? What other kind of sandwiches that are a little out of the ordinary do you make?

I always have a jar of raw honey in the house. When I feel my self flagging I take a tablespoon of raw honey and a tablespoon of unfiltered or undistilled apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and My energy comes back. I have had honey mixed with peanut butter in a sandwich and it is so good.My family likes peanut butter and honey on our pancakes too.

It is like a lot of new tastes you have to get used to it. It has to be vinegar that hasn't bee distilled or filtered which the vinegar you get at the grocery stores is. The honey does make it more palatable.

Oh really, I didn't know that about the apple cider vinegar that you get in the stores. I wonder what the difference in taste is without it being filtered and distilled. I wonder if it would be better, or worse.

Wow, honey on pancakes sounds delicious. I had never heard of that one before. And the vinegar in water for energy sounds like a very unique idea...however, not sure that I could handle the taste. LOL Thank you very much for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!

Hi kykidd Yes I have tried that before and it is good. Honey is good for you. If it was up to me I would just stay with the normal sandwich but my hubby is a totally different story. He is all the time making up something. He will add strawberry jam, and honey to peanutbutter. I haven't tried that one but he says it is good. I guess...LOL..

Yummy, I love strawberry jam. That sounds delicious. I like to use seedless blackberry jam instead of jelly on my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Of course, it costs about 3 times as much for a jar about 1/3 the size. So it is really about 6 times the price. LOL Needless to say, we don't have that very often. Thank you for responding and have a wonderful day!

I am not a huge fan of honey. My daughter loves it though and will make herself peanut butter and honey sandwiches sometimes. Ick I couldnt eat it. She also likes me to add it to her oatmeal. Our high school never added honey to the peanut butter but to make the peanut butter go further they added butter to it. I do this sometimes as it makes it taste richer and creamier. Our school also added water to jelly to make it go farther. I think they added water to the peanut butter if I remember correctly. Anyway it was the best peanut butter in jelly I've ever eaten. I loved school food!

I have been doing this for years. It is my favorite way to eat peanut butter. And now my daughter likes it too. TO say it is yummy is an understatement.

I am glad that I am not the only one that has tried it at home. I think I am going to make another sandwich like that later today. It seems as if the urge is starting to come over me. LOL Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!

I mix honey in my peanut butter and then make a sandwich. I like it this way because they would serve it like that in school.

Hey there LeahsMom and thank you for your response in this discussion. My sister says that if you have honey from your local area that it helps build up your immune system. I wonder if that is the reason that the schools add the honey to the peanut butter. She says that I should take a teaspoon every day and put it in my morning tea. I think that I would run out of honey too quick if I did that. LOL Thank you for responding in this discussion, and have a great day on myLot!
