I've been so frustrated to have a whiter skin. Yes, I know that I must be contented with what i have but some people are telling that its better for me if will have I whiter skin? I've tried so many whitening products and none of them was that effective. I don't have a lot of money to have special treatments or to buy some capsules and etc. What whitening product do you think is effective or alternative home remedy to whiten skin? Thanks for response... :)

hi bianca! i guess many filipinos like us want to have lighter skin. hehehe
laydee made a good point mentioning that we have to stick to a product for a long time, so we could see its effectiveness. that is in fact true. lighter skin can't be achieved in a short period unless it's injectibles that we used or chemical peeling. but that is expensive and i dont want to be subjected to needles if you ask me.
natural and gradual lightening effect should be ideal. from time to time, i'm using papaya soaps to achieve this. and i've been using herbal based products as well.
where are you based in the philippines? i'll add you up and send you a pm (or you send me a message when you are available) and i will provide you details about it when i get back tonight.
have a great day ahead!

You said you've tried a lot of products, how long have you stuck to one product to try? You cannot expect to be lighter with just trying out a product for a month or so. You have to stick with it for several years.
I've been using a type of papaya soap since my aunt tried it for several years and she could certainly attest that it works. I wasn't a believer until I was forced to shift from my brand of soap because they stopped manufacturing or importing that soap. I was left to choose something else until I tried the soap she used. The main reason why I tried it is the fact that it doesn't have a strong smell (my Dermatologist friend told me that anything that has a scent isn't always good for the skin, she'd always recommend non-scented products). Alas, after several years using the same type of soap, many could certainly say that I looked much much lighter (don't get me wrong, I have light skin because I'm part Chinese, but the soap really took away the dark areas of my skin).
So, whatever you choose, stick with it. Unless you find yourself allergic to it.

I've been using my soap for 3 months only. So I should keep on using my soap for years. Thanks for the advice. I know that would help. :)

why on earth would you want whiter skin? Your hair and eyes belong with your natural skin tone and if you mess it up you really will look odd and not better. I would capitalize on the looks you have and make the most of them. I am fair skinned but have noticed many women with brown skin who are absolutely beautiful as they made the most of their assets and they look gorgeous and themselves. My hair and eyes go with my pale coloring and if I made it darker I would not look right. stick to what God gave you and just enhance it.
