I'm a complainer!

So I am a complainer! I always have been and as I get older I do more! It is part of me! This why I want to leave Mylot! I feel like I'm the only complainer on Mylot! If you are sick of my complaining don't respond to my discussions! Simple as that! I believe Myolt is a site were you have free speech! Apparently not to some people on this site who seem to be on Mylot 24/7! If you don't like me fine! Just leave my discussions alone then!

I understand the desire to complain. I have a discussion that I want to start, which is really a complaint, but I am waiting a little while to start the discussion so that I can calm down a little. I want to put a little distance between me and the incident, so that I can gain a better perspective on the situation and be more open to responses that might not agree with mine. I think that is a very important part of the equation - being open to opinions and perspectives that might not agree with our own. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree?

i definitely agree. i like seeing different ideas to my own - makes you think more. if i just wanted to discuss things with people that had exactly the same opinion as me i would have a conversation with the mirror

That is the way I think, too, Rabbit. I want people to understand my point of view, but I also really want to understand other people's points of view. If I can see things from different perspectives, then it not only allows me to see a bigger picture but it also might keep me from getting so annoyed at some of the things people do, because I will be able to understand their motivation.

While free speech is a mainstay on MyLot, not everyone likes to hear or read someone's complaining 24/7/365. There's only so much negativity people can take, and when they've had enough, they're going to say something about it. You probably won't like what they have to say, but then again, do you think everyone likes your constant complaining? Think about it.

hi bllue54packer I have always enjoyed your disucussions so dont let some nitpicker ruin your working and posting here. we all have different personalities and we should respect each other for being who they are and not try to change each other. I often complain too and so do others on mylot and so what it is human and we all like to be humans. You are right this is a free site so if someone does not like your discussion he or she can jolly well by pass you and go to something else.

Hi blue, Well hun I don't think it's the fact that you are a complainer, I think it's how go about making your complaints that might be the problem. If you can manage to make your complaints in a manner that is not directly offensive to one person or another than I think you will be just fine. I just read your discussion about someone that had requested friendship, and as I went to respond, hit the post response button and poof the discussion was gone. Talk about frustrating I had a good response too LOL. Well I thought it was good anyhow I think had you said "I will not accept friend requests from men that have only women friends, because it makes me suspicious or uneasy" rather than a few words you mentioned, your discussion might still be there. Many times it's about the way we say things. Take care and good luck,... oly

I don't think you are a complainer. If people don't like your discussions, they shouldn't read or respond to them. It's just that simple.

Hi, I just had a look at your profile and I don't see you as a complainer. As for doing more complaining as we get older I agree on that. We are the same age and my complaints are piling up, along with the pounds I'll never loose, the pain in my neck (no not my hubby) and the kids wanting everything now. As anothr poster said ignore the nitpickers, if we try to write to please everyone we would never be able to write. Happy MyLotting!!

blue65packer I like your discussions so please go on' discussing and to heck with the nitpickers. Mylot is a place where we can all complain or laugh or explain whatever suits our fancy. I am on mylot a lot too but I don't get upset when you complain as I have done the same myself. We usually all support each other here but of course there are always those who would find fault with anything and everything in discussions.
