Every year thousands of men and women across America and other countries sign on with direct selling firms. Tupperware, Amway, or a cosmetic company, hoping to make money enough for new draperies, a new davenport, or some new clothes. They sell a little merchandise to a few relatives and close friends.
Then they are through. They quit before they give themselves a chance to learn the basics of success in sales. "I am simply not a born salesperson," they often say.
If you are looking for a career oportunity or "extra income" to help with the family budget, direct selling offers you dream fulfilling posibilities. However, you must give yourself time to learn the technique of sales.
Ask yourself, "How long does a doctor have to study? Or a lawyer?
Something to think about!

I have never been successful in direct sales. It doesn't mean you can't be just that I am not. I just can't seem to "sale" anyone anything. Heck I am more likely to end up talking them out of buying something expensive rather than selling it to them. I always like the idea of direct selling - I have only signed up with products I used myself - always with the idea that if I could sell enough to pay for what I use. It never works that way for me - I just buy more stuff. So while some people do great at it - I'm not one of them.
