hi MM
though a lot of people have a go at me I won't have the flu or pneumonia jab, if I am going to get it then so be it, so no I won't get the swine flu vaccine, anyways they don't really know if this vaccine is a strong enough one to fight the strain we may have this year..if we do. And last year I know of quite a few people who had the flu vaccine yet still got the flu! LoLo

I think so. There's a clinic at my college that offers the vaccine for 15 dollars and I think its a pretty good deal.

I will if it's offered to my age group. I would rather see the younger kids get it first or our daughter and son-in-law who are both paramedics. It might be too late since President Obama announced today the swine flu is now an emergency situation. Seems it's already in 46 states and still spreading.

My wife and I are very much against getting the Swine Flu vaccine. This is because we do not want to put mercury (used as a perservative) into our bodies. We have been against vaccinations for years now because of mercury. A child can get measiles and get over it, but if a child gets autism, aspbergers, add, slow learning, etc because of mercury than the child has a life long problem. Life is hard enough without having mercury mess up your life.

I was on the fence with the swine flu shot but I caved in and got the shot this afternoon. I saw it as it is the same with every vaccination...there is always that scare but I would rather be safe than sorry. Either way I can get it right well I rather of taken the chance of not getting by getting the shot than regretting it later. I was the same way when I first started getting the regular flu shot but now I get them every year and have had no complications.

No, I will not be getting the vaccine. The way I look at it is, if most medical people are resistant to getting the vaccine in the UK, that doesn't say much for its safety. I have never had a flu shot in my life. I have had flu a few times, one nasty bout of Red flu, but I just go to bed and stay there until I am feeling better. Drinking plenty of fluids and using paracetamol.
