Is hard water harmful to health?

In my new office my colleagues use to drink hard water as normal drinking water is not available. I take a bottle of water along with me to work every day since I am afraid of drinking hard water. Is hard water really cause problem to health?

your referring about ice water lolwell it is long freeze it can be but it helps me awaken lol especially in the afternoon just drinking my softdrink with ice on it.it cause cause problem if you ate a fatty meal and drink cold water thus i can say it fats cannot dissolve so it builds up and be pass to blood as cholesterol.

amyson that is utter nonsense the water is warmed in our bodies by the time it reaches any fats so that is really garbage. false rumor,

no its not a nonsense lol,well many prove that cold liquids have something to do with fats and cholesterol food.you cannot drink it when your eating fatty foods together because it cannot dissolve some of the fats.

Thanks for your response amyson. Hard water is not frozen water, but water contains more minerals like calcium and all.

Yes,hard water is harmful for health because this always causes a problem of the stomach.

no you are very wrong, the minerals that are in it are already in your own body.,calcium mostly and calcium is necessary to build your bones., do not believe everything you hear. check it out. It does not cause problems of the stomach , in fact calcium carbonate is used for upset stomachs. so much for yours thought.

On the contrary, hard water is better for you than soft water. Hard water contains minerals that our bodies need. Depending on the source, it can be iron, magnesium, phosphates, calcium and many more - the things we add to our vitamins because we don't get enough! Not all water is created equal, though, so if you're not comfortable with it, see if you can get an analysis done. Nearby universities will often do it, and usually for free. You may be missing out on a great health benefit.
