emergency help! computer problem

If you aren't using IE and still getting pop-ups from it, that is really strange. A few things. 1- Do you have a good anti-virus installed? If yes, run a computer scan..as there might already by trojans and viruses in your system. 2- Have you checked the following in IE: Tools- Internet Options- "Privacy" tab? In that tab, you can see a check-box. If it's checked, your pop-up blocker is turned on. Check these two and lets see what happens

ok friend, don't panick, try turning on pop up blocker under tools menu, it should be there, if it doesn't work, turn on pop up blocker also in your anti virus if you have then update your antivirus and make a cpmplete scan on all of your disks, if still doesn't work, download the free trial kaspersky internet security and install, update and again make a complete scan of all the drives, it should work, it happens to me sometimes.

Try a free program called malwarebytes I find it to work well.Also update your antivirus and run a full scan.That should clean things up for you.

Make sure that you have a good anti-virus program installed. The only other comment I have is that while so many people like internet explorer it is the browser that is most easily infected. I myself use mozilla firefox.

These pop ups are viruses that want to corrupt your system i hpoe you have a good antivirus update it and scan yor system so it can remove the virus in it

Whenever a virus or anything virus-like hits my pc, I don't trust antivirus programs. I don't even install one because it only slows down my system. What I do is to be ready for backing-up the data and reformat everytime. I don't really suggest that you do it, but sometimes it helps to have a fresh install of operating system.

Hello. I guess this may be some problem in your registry, or something more serious, which normal antivirus will not be able to remove. Use this program, hijackthis to scan your registry for issues and errors, then post the log here so I can analyze it and look for some problem. If you don't trust me, you can post it on internet forums specialized in those log analysis, they will be able to show you what you have to do too.

Firstly, try to turn off the pop ups through tools option present both in FF and IE. Then simply search for Sbybot-Search and Destroy. Update it and then scan your system through it. I think it is due to some malwares. Try it. Hope your problem gets solved.
