Have any of you ever been genuinely afraid at any aspect of your life? If so, was it an abusive spouse, job or location change - or maybe a moose right next to you? Maybe a family member was really sick or hurt...How did you overcome your fear?

At this moment, I'm really afraid about losing my job, as layoffs are occurring everywhere. I'm afraid my children will suffer. I've some investments, but they are locked for one more year, and I couldn't access them easily. I've not yet overcome my fear, and perhaps, I won't ever, because everything is uncertain now. I keep praying, but oftentimes I still worry. Some people say we worry because we love. It's true. If we don't care about anyone, then we won't have to worry.

My husband along with many others just got his pink slip, not knowing when it was going to happen was worse. The only problem is now he wants to wait it out on unemployment and stay in an inexpensive hotel playing a video game on the computer 24/7. I finally had it out with him and he's looking again at other bases. A I could be afraid, but I need to look out for my little one, so can't afford to be. Sometimes its better to be in an environment that won't effect your little one, one where he'll get the interaction he needs - not just from me. No stress. And a better environment. Maybe temp, not sure.
