What is the demerits of excessive usage of computer?

Excessive usage computer may be the followings. 1. Daylong usage of computer makes a person aloof from society. He or she may be away from all day to day affairs of the society. 2. For excessive usage of this may form an addiction to it. Thereby he will feel good with any other things. 3. Massive usage can be harmful for eyes. 3. Continious sitting with pc, may form some problem in backbones, thereby can create backache. 4. Once this usage rate is high, massive exercises of fingers on keyboard may create some complicacy in finger nerves. 5. It makes someone away from physical activities. There are more.... Everything you mention is true but I'm always getting up doing things. If its not laundry or preparing food its taking my dog out. I just don't sit at the computer for hours without getting up. I think I ususally get up every 30 minutes if not more depending on my days activities. I also watch my 3 year old granddaughter during the week so I'm constantly taking care of her needs. From dancing with her to one of her cartoons that she is watching too coloring with her. Sitting constantly at the computer is not good for us physically at all.

Your mode of spending time with PC is sounds very good and its a healthy style of working with pc.

When you're sitting there at the computer for hours, you might get deep-vein thrombosis - which would cause blood clots forming in your legs to move to your heart and may encounter a blockage in your artery which might cause a heart attack.

i agree with you. i have also some problem in my eyes of irritation and dryness. i also feel some time the backbone pain. and these demerits are related to only health . there are some social too. we put more time on pc and going lesser social elements as we are puttin huge time here.

So, you need to change your daily routines. You are make some times everyday for a walk in green area. For you backbone do some physical exercise in a routine form. For example while you go for a small walk or for jogging, do some light exercise as to recover these problems. Thank you.

I do agree with your points and its really happening to me. But I regulate my works according to my needs with pc. I have just started mylot and need to improve a lot in it. So I must spend time for the same accordingly. But it should be avoided to keep our health safe from lot of problems. I do take 20 mins of interval for every 1 or 2 hours of period to avoid these kind of problems.
