Do You Look Older or Younger For Your Age?

Nowadays anti aging creams are a hit in the market. They are somewhat expensive but still people are buying it. If it really works I really can't tell because I haven't had the chance to use one.
We all age and that's fact, there is no fountain of youth. If there is, it would have dried out by now
Do you look older or younger than your age? Me, I consider my physical appearance as a gift from God. Naturally I look younger than my age because I tend to surprise people whenever they ask how old I am. It's flattering when people point it out 90% of the time but I also had some bad experiences, looking young.
It was during the year 2002, I was 17 then. I had a part time job where looks and talent is essential. I had a call from my employer (talent manager) for an audition in one of the biggest soap for prime time. They needed a 17 year old teenager to play the role of the best friend of the lead actor. I was really happy because it could be a big break for me. I went to the audition and when it was my turn, I did my thing as they wanted it to be like. I was really proud of myself that time because I got many positive applause and feedback. Sad thing was, despite of all my efforts they turned me down in the end. I can't believe I was rejected just because of my looks. They asked me if I was sure that I'm 17 because for them I only look 14.
I was really disappointed and from that time on, I realized that looking young is not always an advantage.

hi i am arman and i look older from my original age. because i am tell and healthy person. i saw which people are short in height and having some type of thin body they looks younger from it's age. are you also?? have nice day dude.

What do you mean by short is it with reference to your height. I'm thin and to give you the idea I'm just 5'6" tall. If you find it short then maybe you are right but usually people base my age because of my face

Well you can still look younger than your age even if you're tall. And you mentioned being healthy. I'm not sure what it means but I believe being healthy can make you look younger. HAHA!

For as long as I can possibly remember, I have always appeared younger than my actual age.
I'm constantly being asked to verify my age and produce valid identity, whether it be at the cinema or trying to get access to a club. Sometimes it irritates me because I look at my mates and feel slight envy when they are allowed entrance without having to prove anything.
Although I guess the silver lining to this is that when I'm much older, others will start to envy ME for still looking younger than I actually am :D

Our time will come fellow "baby-faces." Our time will come when other people will feel envious towards US every time we are asked to produce valid ID or questioned about our age ;)
Yet until that time comes, I'll just continue to silently curse myself every time I'm forced to whip out my Driver's License:(

Like you, there are times I feel envious with people looking exactly as their age and yes just to feel good I usually say to myself "my time will come, when looking younger is the trend"

I am quite lucky at my age I still maintain a firm facial appearance, no wrinkles yet and I still look the way I was 10 years ago. I am blessed as gray hairs have not made its appearances yet. Unfortunately I couldn't control the rush of fats that keep pounding on my body which comes with aging. That is the tell tale sign that I am no longer a spring chicken but a seasoned woman in the twilight years. But with smart dressing and the right color tone which conceal the protruding edges can disguise myself as someone who have not reached the half century mark. But why should I act the age I am not and am grateful for the gift of God that I am still breathing the free supply of air and live to see myself enjoying every phases of life I went through.

I really love your answer and how positive you are towards life. I hope more and more think like you. We must try to appreciate things that we sometimes tend to overlook or take for granted.

Bro, trust me, it's always cool to be looking young..
Perhaps it wasn't your opportunity back then.. but who knows, for auditions in future, you might be accepted because you look youngish.. 
For me, I'd rather look young too; it's like cool when people can't guess your age just by looking at you for the first time. I kinda like the age guessing game.

Well, I have always looked older for my age. I am not really sure if it's a good or a bad thing. Sometimes, when i'm with my sisters, they usually think that I'm the oldest, but actually I'm the middle child. In my work, it usually is a good thing that I look older, cause with that I also look a lot wiser. hahaha.

Looking young or old is not bad and also not good. If someone likes to look old for a definite reason then it makes him look good. It depends on your preference and view of the things in life. Looking young is not a privilege or may I say it's not really that cool. There are instances where people like to be with the older guy than those guys of their age. I'm just glad you appreciate how you look, be positive and use it's advantages wisely

According to most of the people around me i look older then i actually am. I this is due to the fact that i am tall and well built (muscular, not fat). Ive been able to do a lot of things people my age dont get to do because i look 18 even though im only 15. It really helps me get into R-rated movies but if im with to many friends they ask me for an I.D. and im like "its not with me" and then we have to settle for another movie. Looking older then i actually am has always been a blessing to me.

Hi Brad: it sounds like the dream of a perv little boy. Lol. XD. All kids want to be adults to enjoy their "benefits" but at the same time there's a point where you just want to stay your age but that's impossible.

Like you I tend to take my skin or health for granted. If I continue doing this to myself then maybe I'll look older in a few months time. We should take good care of ourselves to maintain our youthful faces

they told me i look younger than my age. (most people at least)
its must be the genes since they usually mistaken my mother to be my sister or sometimes, just a friend. ONe time, a woman asked if the school year already started, i was surprised that i couldn't answer immediately, so she asked me again. i told her, im not studying anymore, im working. and she laughed... she said she should have asked me first if im studying... she just assumed i am cause i look young... hahaha! :)

I look younger than my age as many will always tell me. Looking young is not always an advantage but its always great to be complimented that you look young and fresh than your age. I'm turning 25 this December and people always mistaken me as 16 years old.
You see, what I always hate looking younger than my age is that I always have to bring ID's with me. Whenever I have to go to casino with friends they always ask for my ID. Even if I tell them I'm already 24 they just won't believe me so I'm tired of arguing with the security guards and I just present my ID to them.

Compliments are flattery and good but the annoyance of always being checked when things get a little bit mature is really irritating and a great cause of delay. still looking young is cool

I've always been told that I look younger than I really am. I'm 21, and all throughout my teens, even up to this day, people have told me that I look younger than my actual age. It's actually quite annoying, if you ask me. For once, I would actually like to look my age. But it isn't really the case. So life goes really.

I agree with you that it is really quite annoying because sometimes people thinks you're lying. I guess we must accept the fact that this is how we are and just live with it and somehow use it's advantages wisely.

Good day! i'm 24 and i look younger than my age, actually i don't put anything else in my face but only fresh water from the faucet. Every time i wash my face i don't use soap but instead pure water only. My Classmates didn't know my age and i ask them about it they said that my age is 18 to 20 and i start laughing because they guess it wrong..hehehe..My problem right now is about my weight. i want to lose my weight. hmmpf..

Were of the same age and ain't it fun looking young? Exercise daily and you'll get rid of that extra weight in due time. Come to think of it, maybe I should follow my own advice

I think my apperance is the same with my age.Maybe many person want to look younger than they really are and i not fond of it.I always holds that if you have a young heart that is the important in our whole life.I appreciate everyday of my life and try to live in a young mind all the way.I don't know whether i will afraid of getting older and older someday.But now i like my age and the apperance i looked at.Haha~

Hi hexeduser22! :)) I actually can relate with you because I've been told that I don't look my age. Others always tell me that I look like some high school student. Flattering? I'm not really sure but one thing I know for sure is, when I'm on my 40's, I'd still look young. :)) Once, I was buying tickets for a movie rated R-13 and the ticket lady asked me, "how old are you?" and I was already 21 then. Haha!

I would say in general I look younger than my stated age. Probably not a lot younger though. I am going to be 52 next month but I think I probably look somewhere between 40 and 45. I do have some dry skin and wrinkles unfortunately. Probably most importantly, I do not feel my age. I feel like I am in my early 40's probably.

Dry skin is easy to mend, just drink lots of water and sometimes apply some lotions to moisturize your skin. Wrinkles is nothing to be alarmed just always smile and if someone mentions about it then just say they are laugh lines. It's really important to feel young specially when you look young

oh. you should be happy to look young though you didn't land the role it just means genetically you look younger than your real age. for me i look always older than my real age. i am trying to alter my diet so that i will not look lot older than my real age. as i have heard that what we eat affects our physical looks.

Yes I agree that the food we eat really affects our physical appearance. I'm happy to look like this and I really appreciate it, it's just that when I remembered the opportunity I've missed because of the way I look makes me sad at times.

My friends said that my face look older than my age. At the first day on college when they firstly met with me they think that i am their senior. Well, sometimes it make me hurt. I fear become old and then someone come and told me that i look older make me really shocked at the first time. But later i could receive it as a bless from God at least i only have an older face not an older age. Because my fear is become older not look older at all. Hahahaha

I look younger than my age, even though I am 27 years' old, but the stranger always judge me as 22 years' old only. Sometimes I just feel flattery for the young look and ladies always like that atvantage.
In my opion, it is a good thing. Every time I go for a blind dating, the boys are suprised at my face and love me very much as I look younger.
From the career point, sometimes I am very confused on my dressing to make myself look mature, particularly for the first interview. As no matter how I pretend, the younger look in my face can not hide.
