I live in India. There is so many tourist place.
My favorite budget place is Nanital, Kullu, Manali, Jaipur,Agra. Best way to go there by train, it is in budget. And there so many hotels, expensive, or cheap. You can get a good hotel between 500-1000 Rs. per day. And you should take your meal outside from hotel at any resturent, dhaba. Its much cheaper than hotel meal, and you get verity.

Airfares vary in price and the cost of some countries can be expensive, medium or cheap. I read a book once that said a traveler with $1000 could have 14 days in Japan or 67 days in India. I haven't yet been to India but am sure it offers great value.
I live in Europe. I think Eastern Europe can be delightfully cheap. In 1990 Budapest in Hungary was a bargain. I went to Romania and Bulgaria in 2006. I had a wonderful time there and it was cheap there. My last trip was to South Africa and once I got there it wasn't all that expensive.
One of the cheapest places that I have been to is Guatemala. It was delightfully cheap and I could afford mid range there. I usually go for the budget range when I go traveling. I travel in economy class but once I got a free upgrade.

I live in the Philippines and actually there are a lot o places you can go to here on a budget. If I am really on a tight budget, I would just go to Tagaytay and go ziplining or have a picnic while feeling the cool breeze. However, If I can spare some money for airfare, I would go to Bohol and take a look at tarsiers or view the chocolate hills once again. Many people think lowly of the Philippines but in reality, it is really a beautiful place and is highly recommended to a lot of tourists.

I love travelling to Hongkong. You can stay in cheap hostels and make sure to save a lot for your shopping spree and Disney tour.
