Is skype is Secure?

Recently I had an email come to my inbox which i was asked whether skype is secure or not? My resonse, however, we first have to examine what a user advises is considered insecure. Eavesdroping, is not all that preventable if you are unsure as to physical security of the PC that is running Skype. But assuming the concern is the point aspect of the call, use, skype is actually more secure than you might think. Using high encryption a data of the call from point to point is quite safe of being intercepted. What do you think about this. Do you feel whether Skype is safer or not. Please drop your valuable comments on this?
