I first heard of this movie when a co-worker mentioned that it was advertised as the scariest movie in the theaters right now. And then in my People magazine I was reading about how it is footage of one couple and the demon that visited them in their bedroom. According to the article, the couple set up a night vision camera to capture the happening in their home. Then Spielberg somehow viewed it, saw it as something that could be made into a movie, and then decided to leave it as is to release into the theaters. Also according to the article the couple still lives in the home. It cost them around $11,000 to make the documentary style film and is grossing more than 33 million. I say they have a pretty lucrative ghost in the house...maybe I would stay there also. LOL I really want to see this film due to the nature of the fact it is allegedly real. I love house haunting stories. Have you seen this film yet? What did you think about it? Or do you want to see this film?

Its a great movie for the budget they create but again its not an original concept and also being a film major at school there are points in the movie they made mistakes which were easily spotted by me but perhaps just not by the public. Also the worse part is the preview shows the end so you know what is going to happen. That killed it for me, I wish that part wasn't shown so therefore you didn't expect what happened.

I havent seen it, but I guess I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. I have heard truthfully that this movie is not very good. It sounds something like the Blair witch project which i did not like. I don't think it would be something I would go for, but I do love scary movies in general.

I saw this movie over the weekend and it was actually really good as far as scary movies go. It did its job and certainly scared me! But its actually not a real documentary by any means and the house isn't really haunted. I would say more but I don't want to be putting out any spoilers for the film. But the film did only cost $11,000 and it was filmed in one week which is absolutely amazing. So this movie is definitely worth seeing but its not real and the guy who filmed this one is already working on a second movie that will be out I beleive in 2010 and that will be about a group of teens in Area 51.

Hmmm. I am glad you didn't give out too many details, but now I am wondering cause of the article I read. But heck even if it is not real I still love a good spook movie. Thanks for the response and review of it.
