If we want to raise our child well mannered and not spoiled, we need to establish specific rules. And let that rules rules.
As a parents, we need to set limitations and stick to that limitations no matter how our child begs... Our child needs to know the meaning of "no" and "enough". We need to make our kids understand clearly what we want to happen.
If our child wants something make him or her work for it. We should not just give things to them. We can ask them to do some simple and light household chores like folding of clothes, washing dishes or setting the table... We must give what they want as a reward to good deeds. We should let them work for what they want. However,if ever what they want is not possible, we must clearly explain to them the reasons.
Don't feel upset when your child seems to be disappointed and lonely, that is just simple way of preparing them to accept and cope up with frustrations. That is the best way to make them a better adult in the future.

hi there, kids mostly be spoiled by their parents, especially their grandparents. it prevails in china. chinese babies tend to be more spoiled. it is not good for them actually, so we should do something when they were born. such do not let your kids picky on food, he has to eat what you offer to him as it is healthy. never shout at parents and olders, be polite.

Hi buping!
That is right we can train our kids by simply not allowing them to be picky on foods. We should really not tolerate them if they don't want to eat certain foods especially vegetables which we all know is good for everybody. Such simple and little ways would help us raise our kids well.

I agree. Children needs to know that some things in their life are privileges only. I give my children allowances when they do what they're asked to do for a whole month and if they got lazy or fail to do them I either deduct some amounts from their allowance or not give them allowance at all for that month. If they get high grades in school, that's when I praise and reward them with something. They usually wants to go shopping. lol

That is very good!
We must always show appreciation to good deeds and penalize them if they do bad things. In that way they will be inspired more to do good things.
