HI friend First its important how old your son is.If he is around 6 months old ,you can occupy him in feeding milk and then he can sleep for some time. You can bring some colorful toys and of different types so that if he gets bored with any you can give another. If your son is older than 1 year old,you can engage him in writing and coloring .

he is 13 month and just started to walk. He get bored very easy and can only stay at one place for so long. I am not sure how can I survive for 13 hour flight with him. Kind of scary really but thanks for the advise. I am sure going to bring a lot of toys for him.

I'm not sure of the age of your son. My daughter was 3 years when I first took her on a flight. As she loves coloring, I occupied her with coloring books and pencils. I also read stories for her as she loves listening to stories. If your son will watch cartoon movies, you may put them on the television in the flights. I'm not sure whether the flight you take has an option for watching cartoons.

It is not easy to bring an infant for the flight. I have an experience before to bring my infant to the flight before. It was about 4 hours flight. I prepared my infant in advance to tell him what was an aeroplane flight. Let him see the picture of different aeroplane. Prepare him psychologically will help. During flight, I kept him occupied with story books and toys (soft toys are huggable and give sense of security). Some simple toys to keep him occupied. Before landing or soaring, giving him some fluids or keep talking to him to reduce the pressure of the air to affect his ears. I hope the tips will be helpful. Sylvia Mak http://wiseparents.net

thanks for the tips. I guess I will give him lots of fluid since he kind of like drinking so much. But talking to him will be useless at this stage. he still not understand anyword yet but I will try my best to keep him occupied as long as possible. 13 hour flight is kind of scary :C hope everything goes well. Thanks again
