Tatora "Treasure Hunt" Wedding Theme Ideas?

I'm looking to plan a wedding that has a basic theme of something along the lines "treasure hunt/treasure/jewels." (Our main wedding color is going to be a sapphire/royal blue, I was then thinking maybe like a dark maroon/ruby color as another accent, but have yet to decide though) I don't want a pirate wedding since I want something a little more refined/traditional and a bit more formal but this site ( http://www.bellenza.com/wedding-ideas/bridal-parties/a-treasure-hunt-inspired-theme-for-your-wedding.html ) has a few ideas as a starting point as to kind of what I'm thinking of. Any other ideas, thoughts, or elaborations would be great! (pictures would be fantastic too) Thanks!

Hi Serpi...your theme sounds quite unique. Since you've picked jewel colors, that is a good start. Hm, treasure hunt. You could conceivably create a "jeweled" wedding cake, bearing jewel shaped decorations as opposed to traditional flowers. Also, if you're having bows on each pew, you could center a fake but shiny gem in the center of each. Pearl-like garlands could be used as decorations to, looped along the table edges at your reception. A faux gold punch bowl could replace the glass one. Tiaras on bridesmaids would work...they are "jeweled."
