Huh? Maybe it is because the hour is late but when the article title popped up on helium my first thought went to the obvious inferred double entendre. Now there are a lot of places the brain could go with this one, but the simple truth of the matter is I am just trying to figure out how the heck something becomes known as Whoopie pie. It's apparently from Pennysylvania where it is quite popular. They appear to be more of a cookie sandwich than a pie, kind of like Moon Pies. You really do learn something new every day (with a little effort)!

I don't remember these. I know moon pies are big in AL, but I haven't seen them much in Fl. I heard about them in Va, but it was rare to see them. I guess it is just a deep south THANG.

They do every year in Alabama. I was hysterical. Those things could kill someone. I don't mean by eating them, I mean by getting hit with them. LOL

Since I'm from the Northeast I have actually had these whoopie pies before. Some people really love them. I just think they're o.k.

When I first saw the title I was thinking it was an actual pie baked in a pan. Silly me.
