There were many mobile phone service provider, and most of them offer monthly fee service only, except Metro PCS and Boost mobile. They are pre - paid, and you get unlimited calling and messaging features in one flat fee. Don't you think it is a better deal? Just think of pre - paid feature only limited what you have there. In contrary, monthly fee feature might add up some unknown fee to your phone bill, like those downloading fee, or game fee you don't even know about. Or you accidentally touch it and they add up the fee to it. So, why majority of people still choose other mobile service provider?

Plans themselves look very reasonable but from what I understand, coverage is an issue. I have few co-workers of mine that have metro-pcs. They seem to be complaining about coverage more so than others. Metro seems like a good choice for people who stay local most of the times. I'm with t-mobile & I know they're not the best in the world but they seem to have better coverages in places I need a cell phone. And I just switched my plan. It's $80/month & it's unlimited everything, talk, messaging, blackberry data. After taxes & fees, it should be around $90 - $93 / month. For extra $30/month, I'd rather have a better coverage.

If I were to pick any other plan, I couldn't afford it either. I spend somewhere between 2,500 - 3,000 minutes a month on a phone & majority is because of my part time work, which is interestingly enough my main source of income. Unfortunately, they don't supply their employee with cell phones. But flip side of that, they do pay me "cell phone allowance" which isn't much but still helps a little. Also, my cell phone is the main source of my communication. I hardly have phone bill to speak of at home, $12/month for landline at home. Only reason why I have landline at all is because I have DSL for internet. But anyways, considering I pretty much do everything with my cell phone, it's not that bad. I do have other bills as well just like everyone else, mortgage, electric, water, cable, sewage, etc, etc... Thankfully, my car is paid off, I don't have much to go on the mortgage for the house. I try to draw up monthly expenses & try to stick to it.
