Do you run out of ideas for dinner?

It's frustrating standing in front of the pantry wondering what to make for dinner. Are you good at throwing ingredients together and making a superb dish? Do you use recipe books for inspiration? How do you get over the 'dinner-making blues'? Worst thing is when you have an idea for dinner and not all the ingredients :)

Yes! I run out of ideas for dinner. I take care of dinner for 2 kids as the missus work nights. Sometimes, I just get stumped on what to prepare for 2 kids. Good thing I have 2 boys! We don't care so much about vegetables. There is a lot of frying involved when I prepare dinner.

Preparing dinner when kids are involved is hectic. I stick to child-friendly meals as much as I can but sometimes they just have to endure eating salad.

I have the same problem. I go to cooks.com and find some great recipes that use a few ingredients. I have found several of them. I make simple things like Frito Tacos, Doritos Salad, English Muffin Pizzas and homemade corn dogs. THree sites to go to. www.frugal.com www.betterbudgeting.com www.hillbillyhousewife.com These have easy to follow recipes and really help when one is on a budget.

Dinner for me and my daughter is whatever's ready in the vegetable garden. Stir fried meals with noodles is her favorite, so I'll pick whatever vegetables are ready and add them to the pan with some soy sauce and noodles.
