sehwaag a victim of it playing perfectly but was provoked to hit the bowler and resulted in his wicket. So, is it fair in the game of cricket to provoke a batsman to purpusely hit all the balls of the bowler?

one should play every game with the feeling of friendship.as we all know australians are good in evry sport and sometimes they become irrresitable in game as they are so keen to win.i have seen symonds, gilcrist, pointing always involving in conversations with others.it leads to bad impreesion of whole country.one should avoid this play a fair game and winning and losing are both parts of the game.happy mylotting.

The words said by Johnson did seem to affect him. That could be the reason he got out. As long as the bowler is not abusive or insulting, I don't think a little teasing is bad. In gully cricket own team mates are abusive. Besides it can always be given back.

Can you expand on this? How was he provoked? Was it due to the style of bowling or were the Australians "sledging" him?

I don't know about it but all I know is that India is doing better and they have put 350+ in their innings. Now it is upto Bhajji and company to finish the job. I don't think anyone can chase more than 350 in India against India.
