Driving deeds

When you're driving and sombody gives you chance to pass, like in a well populated area with many cars passing by. Say you come to a junction and you have on coming traffic and one stops and let's you go, do you honk your horn as a sign or appreciation, or do you wave at them, or do you blink your headlights for them? Well I know here we do that a lot. What if you created a "thankyou" light and put it on the top of your front and rear windsheild. And each time you have chance for these situations, you thank others. Well this idea didn't come from my mind, I heard about it on radio, I want to know how others from around the world do it.
