I would really love an online writing job, is there any out there?

I would really like to start writing again and was wondering if any mylotters knew of any worthwhile sites that I could take a look at? I have come across a few but they all expect a few to get started and being the sceptical person I am I don't believe in paying to start a job. If any of you know of any please let me know thanks

I also write for Helium. Been contributing articles there for about a year now although I haven't been able to cash out yet. I don't have much time to post new articles but I do earn from the ones I already posted there. Only, my earnings are not enough yet to reach minimum payout. If you can churn out a lot of quality articles more often, you'll probably be able to cash out faster than me :)

What is the minimum payout for Helium? Still haven't got around to looking. My kids are off school this week so my time on the computer is limited.

It's $25. There was a month I wrote seven articles but my writing star suddenly disappeared towards the end of the month so I didn't get paid for the write ups. I think one has to reach a certain number of articles (29) to maintain at least one rating star to get paid for all articles you submit from then on.

thanks for the tips I have registered and will take a proper look when the kids go back to school on Monday.

I go with Associated Content too. If you are from US, you can earn upfront payments. And also page views. If not, page views alone. As you go along, the residual income will pile up. Just keep writing and have fun, interchangeably with mylot too..

Thankyou. Seems I will have to give it a go and see what happens. Happy Mylotting

Helum is a great site for writers - there are plenty of titles to write to, as well as competitions and marketplace features. Take a little time to see how the site works, though. You have to have at least one rating star in order to earn from your writing. Helium allows you to post articles to other sites, and you can also publish articles from other sites on Helium, as long as you hold copyright. Good luck.

It does sound complicated, but it really is not. Once you learn the ropes at Helium all you really have to do is write articles. It takes time to build up your portfolio, but once you reach that benchmark, you will start to see the earnings. Just don't expect it to happen overnight. Since you have already joined, feel free to pm me and I will be happy to guide you through the channels. It is really much easier than it first appears.

Sounds complicated but definately worth a look. Seems a few of you are using it so I'm guessing its quite a trustworthy site.

Hi Skyeblue... You could also try the Triond. I have tried to sign up there it is for free. It is a ligit site and also pays on your paypal account. You have to submit an article there thene do some publishing before they could pay you.

I think you should go for shvoong, it's a multilanguage abstracts writing site with a goal to enable any reader to quickly navigate through long texts. You can submit abstracts on books , scientific articles and press abstracts.Other ways is to start your own blog site. (Please do inform me if You ever start the same).
