yeah, also another reason i think people find the internet more appealing is because it connects you with other people that you get to interact with (mylot) as well as millions of other websites. everything is twice as fun when theres someone to enjoy it with you :)

Well, when I'm on the internet I like having background noise. Since I only go on the internet at my home, I can have my TV on without bothering anyone. So I don't know if having the TV on in the background counts, but overall I think I watch television more than I am on the internet.

I am bound to do that for I don't possess any tv, just a laptop. While in home, I prefer to be online than watching tv but then that depends on mood. Mostly both are ignored just to 'relax my eyes'. :)

I usually do both at the same time. I have the TV on and my laptop in my lap. Most of the time I'm not paying a whole lot of attention to what's on TV but if there's something I want to watch, I take a break from the internet for a while. There are some things, like sports that I can half pay attention to and if something happens, it will get my attention and I'll watch it for a bit, then back to the computer. Other things, I will put the computer down for a while, like to watch a movie for instance. Right now I've got on a University of Michigan football game and they are playing horribly, so I'm paying more attention to the internet than their pitiful attempt at football. The computer is much more entertaining.

Absolutely There are many television programmes that stream online which I won't see fpr a few months [at times] so using the Internet as a television substitution gas become a norm for me.

I would say since I started working at Wal Mart I am definitely on the internet more than I watch television because I usually try to get online before I go to work, and I get online when I get home from work, and on my days off,I will get online and mylot to try and make a little extra money for me and my wife, especially since Christmas is coming up soon, and we want to be able to buy Christmas gifts, and usually the only time we watch television is if we are watching one of our shows,or right before we go to bed, because we usually see what is on television before we go to sleep.

Hi there, I spend most of the time in front of the computer surfing the net than watching TV. Since I was a kid, I am not that fond of TV. We were brought up not to be overly enthusiastic about the ins and out of TV programs. They just come and go in our lives. Now that I am a mother,I also wanted my twin daughters to do the same. I do not want them to be overly exposed to TV. As this simple ampliance can be a baby sitter at times, but more often than not, there are also some negative effects in the long run. Internet on the other hand, when properly supervised, can be a very interesting venue to learn more while enjoying. The kids can interact, they can do researches. They can also surf thru different sites and hone their interests in writng, spelling, drawing, sketches, et.al. There are also some free movies and TV program episodes online that we can watch without the hassle of being interrupted by commercials. My thoughts anyway... Happy DAy!

I definately spend more time on the computer than I do watching television. I get bored watching television. I love to type and I love to be on the internet. That's one of the reasons I like mylot so much. I can meet new people, start discussions about things others can relate to, respond to discussions started by others, and make money while doing it all.
