Destiny or self-made luck

I do believe that you are the maker of your own luck and destiny. If you want something, work for it, believe in it - then you will get it someday. But if you give up and say that something will never happen - it's a self fulfilling prophecy and it will never happen. Still, I found myself saying earlier - oh well, it wasn't meant to be when something didn't happen the way I wanted it. Do you believe in fate or destiny? Or do you think it's up to you to form your destiny and happiness?

I believe everyone is born with talents. As we get older we exercise our free will and decide which of these talents we are going to expand upon. Once we discover our talent we can let them waste away or do something with them. I believe we have to make our own destiny. When someone wants something bad enough, they will force a door and/or opportunity to open. Remember our future is always changing based on the decisions we make today.

That's what I think. I always had a pretty good idea of what I want. And my parents used to say: What Tara wants, Tara will make sure she gets. But sometimes it is out of our control and it is destiny. For example, I want children - but my husband is subfertile. We are starting treatment, but there is no guarantee, no matter how hard I am prepared to fight for it.

I agree on that last part. I hope it works out for you and you are able to get the children you want.
