Always wanted to know this about The Ring

Hi everyone have a question for you and every time I ask people who seen this movie they couldn't answer it. I am hoping their is someone who will know the answer. I was wondering at the end of the movie and why did the reporter make a copy of the tape after she already knew what it would do? And I mean besides so they can make a sequel. I don't know if maybe I just didn't get it. It wasn't a bad movie I was just like why would she do that? It just made no sense even if it's a horror movie.

She made a copy of the video and made someone watch it, so she actually didn't die (go under Samara's wrath) like everyone else did. I think her son mistakenly watched the video, so in 7 days he was going to die unless he made a copy of the video and showed it to someone too. So she helped her son make the copy . . . and the idea was someone else was going to watch it for his survival . . . with her looking at the camera, maybe it would have been YOU. That's what I think the movie ending was about!

hey i also confused but i love dat movie much.
because dat tention makes me feel terrify.
narration is not good but tention is great i'm really afraid of dat movies.
sound effects are simply superb
