why cant I delete my account?

Well 1936 is a good number of posts to be paid, so wonder why you weren't paid? As you are thinking to leave (and call it a waste of time) so I will take some liberty and ask: is that true that you have not been paid? Now, your question can be answered in two ways: I couldn't delete my account some two years ago in spite of dry payments, reason being I still loved the place. But apparently you are not interested. Well, then go to appropriate links and cancel your account. As you can see from post above, they exist!
