I'm so upset its snowing and cold (35 degrees but feels like 28) in New Mexico and its just October 29th. Things are getting covered real quick and I'm not happy at all. My mom called and said it was 99 degrees in Florida. How about you fellow mylotters how is the weather by you.

It's been raining here too and its so depressing! The crops are all still in the fields and the farmers can't get in the field for all the mud....We seriously need some sunshine!

It is the same way here, jill. Farmers have such an awful time every year . i am really surprised that people even want to farm anymore but i'm sure glad they do. Last year at this time we had , had very little rain & everything was burnt up. Seems they can't win for losing. Hope it quits there soon to.

I know what you are saying give me sunshine everyday and let it rain at nighttime. I have a feeling too that its going to be a bad winter. This is early for us to be having snow. We hardly get any snow normally but for this to happen before Halloweeen is weird. Take care and thanks for responding.

Hi lelin, I thought it always snowed in New Mexico. well the weather here in Greec is most unseasonable, it is off and on rain constantly and this is meant to be our lovely autumn with fine but not intensely hot weather before the cold and damp spell. Instead we went from too hot to cold and damp, and it gets earlier and earlier every year.

I know the weather keeps changes all over the world and I wonder if it has to do with the global warming. We get snow but not usually this early and we get very little of it. Its not like in New York where it snows so much. I have been living here in NM for the past 2 1/2 years and I have never had to shovel snow. The snow just stopped and the sun is trying to come out and the snow is melting already. I'm happy about that. Now it just has to warm up.

I had some friends there in New Mexico and they were always shovelling snow or getting snowed in. Probably been out of touch now though for about two years, but it definitely used to be the norm with them. Maybe it wasn't quite as early though.

Really shoveling snow. I'm glad that hasn't happened since I've been here. I know there were about 4 years ago I think they called it a fluke where the snow was really bad and they were shoveling. However its not the norm from what I have heard from New Mexicans living here for years. Thanks for responding.

Oh I would love 70 degrees. I just hope it warms up one more time for us. I would even rather have rain then snow anyday. Have a great and warmer winter this year. Thanks for responding.

I am up in Minnesota and it's horrible right now.....raining buckets and I have water in my basement as the eaves fell off! And it's windy! I would rather have snow then all this.....but what we really need is some nice weather so that the farmers can get their crops out....they can't even get in the fields right now!

Yes it gets that cold here the only thing that we do have is 293 days of sunshine. However, the cold weather I wish would go away because I really can't stand it. It suppose to warm up again next week we shall see. I know when I lived in New York it could rain for a week straight. I do miss rain here in NM because we really don't get to much. My mom says becareful what you wish for. Thank you for responding.

Is this an unusual event? If so, this could be the first minor effects of the global warming menace. In my country Malaysia, floods are unusually frequent. They are also more devastating. The typhoons in the Philippines are so bad and claimed so many lives.

This early for snow yes. However we don't usually get a lot of snow like New York. I have been here for two years and have never shoveled snow. It doesn't last long here. The snow came and now its gone Thank God. The sun came out and melted everything. I hope that is it till Christmas time. I could do without it for good. I would be ok with rain but not floods.

Wow, you must be at a very high altitude. I remember when I drove across country. I was so amazed when we were over on that side of the country. It was so surprising to see the snow at one point, and then it would be sunny and warm at others. I would love to visit that part of the country again. For now, stay warm. I hope you get some nice weather sometime soon!

snow topped mountains - I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when I was cruising through the mountains.
Wow! Snow already huh? Well..we had some snow on the mountaintops but not in the valley. I think we are going to have a bad winter here. It's not been bad for a while but if we get snow like we have rain..things are going to be nasty.

It snowed like crazy here but ITS GONE! The sun came out yesterday afternoon and it all melted. It was just on the grass, rocks and trees. It looked pretty but it was just to cold and I just can't stand the winter months. I would prefer rain then snow anyday. Thanks for responding.

I don't blame you for being upset. I don't like snow, either. I think it's pretty to look at but I can't stand to be out in it too long! 35 degrees sounds very cold to me, brrrrr!!! It seems strange to be snowing in October in New Mexico! It's been raining a lot for the last several weeks here in Alabama. However, the temperature has been in the 70s. 99 degrees is way too hot for me! I like 70 degree weather and when it's not raining, perfect for riding a horse, which is what I love to do. Kathy.

We have had rain everyday for I don't know how long now and I'm very tired of it! I like rain but I get tired of so much of it. I especially like to sleep when it's raining. It's so relaxing! I thought we were going to have a storm earlier tonight but we didn't thankfully. Kathy.

You have had enough rain and I don't remember the last time we had rain. I never thought I would miss the rain but I do. We hardly ever have a day of rain here in New Mexico like it does in New York. When you don't have the rain you really miss it after awhile. At least I do. I hope your rain stops soon.

Yes 70 to 75 degrees is perfect to me. That would be the best to live with all year long. I don't mind the rain as long as its not everyday. Enjoy riding horses. Its a beautiful thing that I too love to ride horses but haven't been able to in along time. Thank you for responding.

The weather here today? It's crap. Cold and rainy. I'd rather have snow thank cold, rainy and windy. But this October has already been a really cold one. August barely got above 80 most of the time. I'm a summer lover and was really bummed that I didn't get out more often by the pool this last summer.

I know by me the summer was so hot I couldn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Snow I don't like at all maybe the first snow before everyone starts to step on it and make it dirty. I love the warm weather and only the warm weather. I get cold really quit and I just can't stand it. We don't get much rain here and sometimes a good rainstorm I love. I wouldn't like it if it rained a lot like back in New York. In New Mexico since we don't get alot of rain we really crave it at times and wish for a big storm.

In Denver we're getting over a major snow. I moved here from Albuquerque and it seemed that our weather there was a shadow of what was going on in Denver. Both states are lucky though because it doesn't stay around--usually a few days and it's gone. I don't mind snow or cold weather but the two years I spent in North Dakota were too much for me--snow on the ground from November to May. Now I appreciate Denver weather!
