i do meditation everyday.what i follow is a simple procedure.i sit in the relaxed posture of padmasana(one of the yog asanas)and try and concentrate on my breathing .gradually i drift my attention to the mid point of my forehead .where i focus all my energies while trying to visualise "om" there.no doubt it improves your attention, concentration and decreases stress level.

Your technique is the easiest and most practiced one. I am oriented with padmasana. Thank you.

I too meditate after i do my practice of Kriya Yoga and i have been doing it since 1990.I have had several high spiritual experiences and have come into contact with many highly advanced and elevated souls. If you want to know what Kriya Yoga is then you should read "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, founder of Self-Realisation Fellowship, with its main ashram in Los Angeles and SanDiego and in over 70 countries all over the world. This is the highest method of meditational exercises and it was given to Arjuna by Lord Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra in the great Mahabharat war over 5000 years ago. This method is above all other methods and one can achieve Self Realisation in one or two lifetimes if followed and practised regularly and sincerely.

I've tried meditating. I cannot seem to concentrate or focus, or clear my mind. Maybe it's just I don't know how. How does one learn?
