ever been so blank in your mind ?

I couldn't even put any thing on paper. I was in the middle of trying to use clay and create something that would look real when completed. I just sat there and all i could of think of was naugthy and I couldn't do that I might be kick out of class. LOL. (this was for my ceramic class).So I play with the clay til I could come of with something.. it just horrible I was gazing all that time. and than decided to make a small bowl. What do you do when your mind gone blank??

absolutely! i think that any type of artist has this problem once in awhile (especially writers!) the thing is, we put so much pressure on ourselves to create that when we have a moment when we cant think of anything, we beat ourselves up. both when i was writing and now that i am an artist what i have done and do is walk away from the project for a bit or go on and work on something else for a bit then come back to the original project.

If I am not inspired by something, I will go blank too, even if I am in the mood to creat something. So, I just don't do anything.
